The Big Bad Wolf
The Big Bad Wolf always appears in Grandma's nightdress and cap in the Shrek movies. This definitely calls Little Red Riding Hood to mind. He's not a threatening character, even dancing with others at times.

Here is your chance to read A.Wolf's side of the story. Things aren't always what they seem . . . The Big Bad Wolf and Me by Delphine Perret. Sterling, 2005.
What happens when a little boy finds the Big Bad Wolf in his closet? He's not so scary anymore and the boy names him Zorro, plays cowboy, and feeds him chocolate chip cookies until he regains his confidence in scaring people. Whimsical cartoon illustrations add to the appeal. For more books featuring the Big Bad Wolf, be sure to check the Three Little Pigs page.
