Puss in Boots

Puss in Boots makes his dashing appearance in Shrek II, when he is sent (appropriately enough if you are familiar with the original) to get rid of the ogre. But Shrek proves to be a more worthy opponent than the ogre of the original tale and Puss becomes a faithful, and quite entertaining, companion. Antonio Banderas gives wonderful charm and humor in voicing Puss onscreen.

Gorgeous illustrations and a text close to the original by Perrault make this a preferred choice for sharing with young readers.

Clever Puss proves himself to be the best inheritance of all for the youngest son of a miller. Using his own resources and wit, he makes his young master into the Marquis of Carabas, even tricking an Ogre in attaining a castle and lands for him.
